Pick Five & Done
Companion planting. Already done.

You know what you want to grow this summer.
You just don't know what to plant next to it.
So you open a tab. Then another. Someone on Reddit says tomatoes and basil are best friends. Someone else says that's a myth. An hour later you've read six articles, learned about nitrogen fixation, and still haven't bought a single plant.
Companion planting works. It's the planning that's the problem.
"What if someone just handed you the plan?"
Not a vague guide. Not a "maybe try this" article.
A ready-made combination. Five plants that genuinely support each other.
Three ways to arrange them. The timing. The container size.
All of it — already figured out.
You don't need any of this:
- A big garden
- Any knowledge of companion planting
- Hours of research
- A raised bed — containers work just as well
- To figure out what grows together
The Five-Plant System
Every plan in this book gives you one plant for each role. Together, they form a self-supporting combination where light, space, roots, and pest management all work in your favour.
Pick the anchor crop you want to grow. Browse the plans. Pick the combination. Plant. That's it.
What's inside:
- 40 ready-made companion planting plans for warm-season growing
- Three layout diagrams per plan — raised bed (120×60cm), two large containers, or five individual grow bags
- Every plant listed in both English and German — makes shopping at German nurseries straightforward
- Companion planting notes in plain language — no botanical jargon
- Exact planting deadlines — a specific month, not a vague range
- Minimum container sizes — no guessing
- Notes for tropical and harder-to-find varieties — bitter gourd, fenugreek, yard long beans, okra
- Plans for 35 different vegetables, herbs and flowers

About Aparna
I've been growing vegetables in small spaces in Stuttgart for six years — raised beds, containers, and a balcony.
I moved from a tropical country to a German winter and spent years figuring out what grows here, when to plant it, and how to grow the vegetables I grew up with — bitter gourd, yard long beans, fenugreek — in a European summer.
Everything in this book comes from real seasons in a real garden. The combinations work. The timings are practical. The system is designed for people who want to grow their own food without spending their evenings in research rabbit holes.
Questions?
Do I need any gardening experience?
No. Each plan tells you exactly what to plant, when, and how to arrange it. If you can follow a recipe, you can follow a plan.
What if I only have containers — no raised bed?
Every plan has three layout options. Two of them are container-only. A balcony is enough.
Is this suitable for growing in Germany?
Yes. All plans are built around the German growing season — last frost mid-May, first frost mid-October. They work for any temperate climate with a similar window.
What format is this?
PDF. You download it immediately after purchase. Print it or use it on screen — it works both ways.
Can I use these plans if I live outside Germany?
Yes — they work for any temperate climate with a similar growing season. Most of Central and Northern Europe qualifies.
